Post Jeep CJ2A project
So I bought a new to me toy the other night ...

Have you ever gone out to buy something only to have a tree fall on it later?

More to come later…

Oh oh. I just noticed what kind of tree it was.

Someone needs to make a demotivational poster with

"When life gives you Lemons

Make sure you have a jeep"

Here's the break down:

1946 Willy's Jeep CJ2A - mostly stock
- 4 cylinder go-devil engine - runs like a top!
- possibly rebuilt, not positive it's the correct age head
- little to no leaks?
- stock T90 trans and t-case
- Converted to 12v using a externally regulated alt (model unknown)
- New dual rear insert round taillights
- Has had lost of rust, holes, and muffler less exhaust dumping under the rust riddled body!
- retro Selecto front hubs
- supposedly M1 windshield converted to single peace of glass. - I believe it, it's too short for me! (Andrea says perfect for her!)
- Seats are bass fishing seats and only comfortable for short rides

Andrea wants me to tell everyone that I have to finger her to get it warmed up… the jeep that is… (Choke cable is broken so you have to pop the hood and hold it by hand). ;-)

Did I mentioned the best feature… it runs, it's registered and street legal!

Very cool. So what's the plan for it. Cabin property truck?

Also now you can tell people "don't touch my willy" in parking lots.

It's easy with a jeep, all I had to do was spend money! Haha

You nailed it on the head. I'm going pop off the body and restore everything under it, then put the busted body back on. ;)

crazy how many people thumb me up and want to talk about the rig.

all I can say about working on old trucks is get a torch with a small tip and a fire extinguisher. I usually soak bolts with wd-40 prior to working on the really old ones but if they still seem too tight i'll heat them to red and they usually come off like butter after that. then again everything on the 1923 chevy in my shop has come apart really easily so maybe you'll get lucky. on my '52 IHC I have to use a lot of heat since most bolts are practically seized on there.
