The frame is for another project. I liberated the frame last night with the help of a torch on some suborn bolts! I'll be cleaning, welding and hopefully painting today.

ZOMG update time! While bonding with Owen, I decided to get some progress on this. Some dads build their sons a wagon, other dad's like me build their son a full jeep while bonding!

Plan is to get it rolling down the road mechanically sound and then move to reworking the soft stuff, seats / body / painting.

First pics show the passenger corner that we torn and missing, I laid another bead over everything and fabricated a new corner that matches the other side. I had to turn down my 220 welder for this little frame! It's odd not building everything from 1/4" or bigger material.

Seems like something happened in my life that really put the brakes on this project??

So weather is getting nicer and Owen is almost a year old so I've start working on this again. The body is currently off and I have power washed and underbody sprayed the frame now. Next to finish is to finish fitting the engine / tranny / tcase and weld on mounts, then finish paint it.

Also planning on adapting the stock column to a power steering box... - Rick, I remembered! I need to turn down the end of stock shaft to fit a ujoint!

Quote:
the end of the shaft must be machined to fit the universal joint provided. The diameter of this shaft must be machined to fit a 7/8" (.875") universal joint.
