Post Name that Rig!
During a great wedding reception a majority of us were at, a conversation struck up about our Rigs having names. For me, I use to name mine but for some reason stopped when I got the 68' bronco for no apparent reason. My previous bronco was known as "Mama Cass" which fit because even though she was a big girl, she was light on her feet (figuratively speaking)
I wanted to start this thread not only to assist unnamed rigs get a name but to share the names of rigs and how they got them. It doesn't necessarily have to be your offroad rig, maybe your tow rig or commuter rig. Let's see em!

Example;
This was my 1991 Bronco which is fullsize, heavy and wide especially in the 4-wheeling community. That being said, she was fast, stopped great and made u-turns sharper than most compact cars. I named her Mama Cass after one of the "mamas and the papas" which was a heavy set woman but danced and moved around like she weighed 100 pounds. Mama Cass no longer exists in my mind because someone bought her and camo'd her killing any desire to get her back but the pics and memories remain.

I'll play along. Btw, porn red interior bronco were not rare. You can easily rebuild that rig!

Lady: because sometimes she's finicky ;)

She shares the stable with Patina (the first 2a) and Furiousa (orange 2a) Andrea named after the new mad max movie. The little truck used to be blanco pequeño, since Peter's truck was blanco grande! The rest don't have names yet, although Andrea's car is known as "Subi".

I toyed with names like "giant pile of shit" or "goddamit not again" but they just didn't have a good ring

I've never done much naming of vehicles. Mustang never had a name, first bronco didn't.

Then came the booger. So named because it was green (mostly) and ugly and didn't run well.

Then the white truck came around. Since it looked like a gardening truck, was white, and was pretty big I went with Gringo Grande and it just sort of stuck. Still no name for the mustang though.

This is the '39 Chevy we call "Papa's truck" although that may be more of a description than a name. It was his pride and joy and will always be his truck, I am just the current caretaker till it gets passed to my son or daughter.

Current Rig is my 1968 Bronco which so far has only been nicknamed "Snowball" as It grew and grew and grew like a snowball rolling downhill. I'm not a fan of snowball so i'm up for suggestions.....
