Post All about lug nuts!
It's the little things that get you! Yesterday we found I had some loose lug nuts, and while talking to Peter and Rich, it came up what's the right lugs for these rims. I was thinking I needed mag lug but it turns out these are aluminum rims. I checked Mickey Thompson's product page and I'm already running the correct bulged acorn style lugs. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/whee ... baja-lock/

The mag style would have used a flat washer. Good to know that I have the right lugs! I'm going to order some more because we cut the top off these when the studs were too long (before I added a spacer).

Here is a good diagram: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ... sHJvNS.pdf

The pro comp lug nuts that Peter and I run work great and are cheap. Glad we caught that issue before your tire passed by you on the mountain road.

I second the pro comp nuts. Good idea checking the back of the truck. Glad it worked out the way it did.

Thanks again for the help guys! I'm not keen non standard lug shapes, loosing the key on a trip isn't something I'm willing to risk.

Rich remember that time we almost lost a tire on your 91 coming back from the Con? I think 3 of 5 studs had broke!?

Agreed but to each their own.

Also I'm not sure there's enough detail in here to call it all about lug nuts :goodfinger:
