Post Re: 2017 Trips!
I'd love to do Rubicon in late August / early September. Baby should be a couple of so months old and I've talked to Andrea about meeting us in Tahoe at a nice hotel. Just need to mount that air compressor!

I think I won't make long term plans for May / June right now. ;-)

I'm now free on the weekends (sorry Pete). How early can we do slick rock?

Good news, and good question. The trail is ~ 7k feet and our early summer weather has been a bit unpredictable lately...

We could lay out a few dates and lock something in now. If the weather doesn't cooperate we can keep the weekend and do an alternate trip somewhere lower elevation?

OK get our your calendars people:

Memorial weekend: Weekend of Sat May 27 could work for me
I have plans next weekend, Sat June 3
Weekend of Sat June 10 could work me
Weekend of Sat June 17 is fathers day so maybe less desirable?
Weekend of Sat June 24 could work for me

Same thing, should we lay out some dates?

Last 2 weeks of July are bad for me.

Jeep Jamboree is Aug 10-13. Jeepers Jamboree is Aug 4-6.

How about:

Weekend of Sat Aug 19
Weekend of Sat Aug 26

June for slickrock sounds good to me, same with Rubicon in August.

If prefer the 24th of June since I'm taking the 2nd off and want to space it out. Anytime in August works for me for more. Once the dates are in I'll request them of

OK we have 2 date suggestions:

Slickrock weekend of June 24th

Rubicon weekend of Aug 26th

Thoughts, alternatives, conflicts?

If possible I would love to tag along maybe to Slice Rock. I only have a few small things to finish on the 78. Tcase, mount 39"swampers maybe trade for 37's install accell pump in carb. drive it drive it drive it.

We have tons of snow up this way but everything is locked up, I dont see the Rim being open till the end of May or july.

It'd be great to see you Larry.

I'm actually a little worried about snow with slick rock in June!

Larry! Haven't heard from you in days!

So is it too soon to plan the rubicon trip?

How are people feeling about the proposed weekend of Jun 24th for Slick Rock?

Also we should have a contingency plan... There's still a lot of snow pack at that altitude and we've yet to see what this spring will bring for weather.

I'm in Mexico from June 23rd to the 2nd. My bad.... don't reschedule if I'm the only problem.
