I'm with rich on this one. The trail is already super well known so I don't think it will bring more people to the trail that otherwise wouldn't go.

I also didn't like when they left the 4 runner out there but I guess dragging a truck out isn't entertaining tv

I wonder what they payed for it? I remember when he red wagon rolled and then rebuilt another to be identical and then within months was selling it for a J/K! I believe (not that I know) but I remember he and his friend had kids in the bronco and one crushed a finger on the cage. Getting the jk could have been just as much about wanting to wheel with his kids again who didn't want to go near the bronco. Well that was my theory from like 5 years ago.

finally got around to watching this. I had to turn the sound off, those guys are freaking annoying. Most of what they said wasn't correct and they just seem stupid. Would be cool to street view the Rubicon though. Also i agree with above, that 4-runner flop looked intentional, they had a clean line just over from that spot and the way the douche driving kept telling the spotters not to let him roll, them hammers down into a rollover? Seemed staged, or they are just really retarded

His kid didn't want to go out anymore, so he downsized to the JK. Haven't been out with him since he got the topless one going.

theory confirmed, if you see him again, ask if he saw his old rig on the show.

Agreed, they talk too much about nothing. They try, but really fail at recreating the real Top Gear. Jeremy and Co banter like crazy but its either funny, or relevant to the cars. Somehow these guys manager neither.

They're both scripted, blame the writers.

Yeah but somehow the british one just doesn't feel scripted!

The early seasons of BBC top gear felt more scripted too until the chemistry was built up. I don't think the American version will last that long though. They don't do the news, it's more about challenges then cars, but I do find it entertaining.

Maybe I haven't watched it regularly for years.

I watched the rest of it last night and it's true that they all sound like idiots, blame the writers sure. Rutt is the only one I really like he had another show on History where he kinda fixed up cars called Lost in Transmission but they cancelled that one. I think mainly because he had a super annoying friend who was "helping" him.

The thing is I know Rutt knows about cars from things he posts on twitter, Tanner is a driver so who knows, and Adam I don't even know about him. They've been using the same jokes since the start. Rutt has a giant head, Tanner's a pretty boy, Adams an angry New Yorker. We get it
