Post Enabling and redirecting to HTTPS
What the hell is https you ask? It's a more secure way to access the sites on the internet!

Consider that your company probably sniffs your traffic or records entire sessions. If your already logged in, it's possible to hijack your account without https, but it's temporary. If you log in while say you're on the company wifi, your password was probably copied some where. Now does anyone care if your password was copied? You should, especially if you use the same password on other sites like forums or your email (stop doing that btw, download a password manager like 1Password so you don't have to remember all of these.)

I won't even touch the gov recording all of our traffic... too much paranoia!

Enabling https also raises our search placement on google (read about that here http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot. ... ignal.html) and enables new versions of http like 2.0 and the SPDY extension in Chrome.

Long story short, more secure, more faster, more better! :thumb:

Please let me know if you find any broken links. We're using a free SSL termination service that makes me need to use lots of redirects so some may be broken.

And update your passwords if you never have!!!

Some pages are not https, but I'm tracking them down. Also, Chrome refused to load non https urls which is breaking some of the wordpress stuff so I'm looking into that. Let me know if you have any issues.

Post Re: Enabling and redirecting HTTPS
I doubt anyone noticed, but there were lots of blips this weekend while I worked on this. Really sorry, honestly it's not a strait forward setup making it as hands free as possible. BTW I also updated the forum and wordpress. Some day I'll strip word press of dates and convert it to a static website. But it wasn't playing nice with me today, so I'll leave that for another time.
