Post Optimizing for mobile
As you probably know (because your reading this from your phone) most of our traffic is mobile users. As of this week, I finally have a real phone and while I think the current theme is nice and surprisingly responsive, I think it's time for a change. The next version of phpbb has a mobile theme, but it's kinda a large change for them so I'm not jumping onboard just for the theme. As always, there are some free ones, but they look super retro (think retro iPhone / iPod touch theme bad). I'm leaning toward buying one. This would be my Xmas gift to the club. :group-hug:

I'm not keen on needing a separate paid app like tapatool, nobody except diehards use that and the site either can't, or is really hard to theme then. Anyways, if you have a forum you read in your phones' browser that u like, post it up. I'm watching for phpbb themes on themeforest.com, there are nices ones under $30 there. Leaning toward flat themes, hopefully that fad will last is another few years before it looks retro!

I think the biggest issue with our current forum from the phone is trying to post pictures. Im not on the forum from my phone often and I try to post pictures from the phone even less. Anywho I would categorize optimizing for mobile as optimizing for mobile picture posting.

The problem I have with uploading directly to the site is not being able to resize pics, Justin your pup's pic comes in 4x the size of the rest of the forum width. If you upload from another source like photobucket it will handle the auto-resize for you.

Other than that I have no issues reading the board on my phone.
