My dad ordered a new F-150 so he is selling his old truck, many of you are familiar with it...

99 super duty F-350, crew cab, long bed, dually, 75K original miles, 2WD, 7.3 with banks turbo, 5 position chip, intake, rebuilt 4R100 with billet converter, transfer flow in bed fuel tank / truck box, 5th wheel hitch in bed, some other stuff I'm forgetting I'm sure... Truck is in amazing shape for its age, exterior paint is perfect, interior is immaculate. Set up to be a tow monster. Pass on to your friends

Asking 18K but negotiable. The 7.3 trucks regularly go over blue book and his is super lower mileage and in great shape so we're pretty confident we can get a premium for it.

If it was 4x4 and about 3 grand less it'd be in my driveway. Chances are he will get the money, but I've been seeing similar rigs selling in the 12-14k range. 18k for a 99 is alot of money. I'm not much of a ford guy but they seem to sell for alot less than the dodge and Chevy trucks so I may end up with one

I've been following the superduty market a lot lately because I'm gearing up to buy a 99-03 7.3 truck (I want a short bed, manual trans though) and the clean ones regularly go over blue book. No one wants the 6.0's so the 99-03 are pretty sought after, often selling for more than a comparable 04-06ish with the 6.0. I'd disagree that a comparable dodge or chevy in the 99-03 range is more. Not saying they're less either but I certainly don't think they're more. Now a 04+ dodge might be more because the 6.0 in the ford was junk.

His has 75K miles on it which is crazy low for the age, its in amazing shape and has a lot of aftermarket goodies, including a good rebuild on the main weak link in these trucks (the trans)... hence the high asking price

:stupid: Thats what I was finding during my search too. Anything under 100k miles was going for a high premium.
