Post dana 60 u-joints?
what u-joints should I go with.

It seems that the spicer part
Greasable: Spicer SPL55-4x also called 5-733x
Permanently Sealed: SPL55-3x, also called 5-806-x

moog wants tosay they have a strong joint 374 (available at autozone too)

yukon gear has a really and I mean really expensive unit YP SJ-733X-733 its 600 each, yikes

what are you guys using on stock shafts

On my stock shaft, no surprise I run joints from autozone and I've run both types. Greaseable are supposed to not be as strong but I've never snapped any. I don't buy any where you have to use a needle grease gun because they're annoying. Before you got the doubler, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the greaseable since we submerge our drive shafts and it's handy to be able to flush the grease without dismounting. I have switched to high temp marine grease (like for boat trailer with disks) in my gun as I was tired of greasing after every water crossing trip. Related, I've been running marine grease in the front bearings of the jeep (drumbs) for over a year, no complaints yet and I have submerged the hubs.

well looks like I'm going to go with SPL55-3x from summit racing at about $43. Funny thing is that summit says these are light duty but everywhere else has them listed as solid crosses non-greaseable. guess I'll see when they come in.

I think I might look into machining the shafts so I can use snap rings instead of the clips that come with them

I run Spicer non greasable. Best non aftermarket joint IMO.

Almost more important though, as you pointed out, is the retainer. The half clips are horse shit. Im going to tear mine apart this winter and either install full circle snap rings on Spicer joints or if money allows upgrade to a ctm or the like.
