Thinking just a 383. Nothing too crazy. I'd like to go manual. Probably just the m5 and see if I can find a twin disc clutch.

M5OD? I have one in my truck I'll pull out if you want to buy it.

I thought you were running the zf in yours or did the case finally crack? I'll think about it I just found out one of the new guys we hired is selling his 79 f150 with a bored 460 for 1600 so I might buy that and put the bronco project on hold for a month or two. Just gotta get pictures of it first.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but why on earth would you put an M5OD behind a built 383 stroker? Notice Ford didn't even use that trans behind the stock 302 or 351? Do the ZF and be done with it!

I was thinking about how many cases I've seen brake and the repair bill afterwards. Then I remember today it was only the diesels due to the vibration. So yes. Zf it will be.

Going to check out and most likely buy the 79 this weekend. Pretty excited for it going to have some small work that needs to be done but nothing too major.

Driving a mazda protege sucks but man is it good on gas.

You're buying a 79 Bronco? What are you planning to do with it?

Well it didn't run like the dbag said. So got it to the shop on a trailer. Pics to come. Gotta figure out what's up with the wiring. No power in the cab with a new battery. Definitely a good buy but gonna need a little work. Not sure if I should get classic plates or not. On a side note the 9 inch on the bko took a dump. Haven't had time to pull the third member and figure out if it's just the gears or if the locker pooped itself

There's always a lot of little things that really slow the progress on projects

Yeah. Too be expected though. Gotta get a new radiator. Went to drain the coolant and there was nothing to drain. Pressure tested and air comes out of the side of the rad

Did the 3g swap the other night. No longer blowing fuses but need to pull the water pump and timing cover to drill and extract a bolt for the vbelt bracket. Godamnit... I love how cheap everything is for this truck though.
