Post Through a snowy trail! (Lots of huuuuge pics!)
So I think some of you know that I helped a friend with some welding to install some custom sliders on his moderately lifted 2008 4Runner. He said he wanted to go to the rubicon! So I checked the weather:

Hey looks it's sunny during the weekend! So we set out in the rain Thursday night, pause in Davis for some dinner and end at the cabin. Next morning, we load up and head to uncle Tom's.

Very little to no snow to get there. Emboldened by the lack of snow, we head to loon!

After locking in (ok the new car just pushes a button inside the cab  ) we set out on the trail!

The gatekeeper looked a little icy and with no tracks from other rigs.

And the bowl looked a little snowy and icy!

So we parked and just walked with the dogs! :goodfinger:

Next day we hit Mormon emigrant for some snow wheeling, well it was mostly 2wd all the way to 88, we stopped by to check out the old Iron Mt. ski resort. I actually learned to ski here when it was still open. I'd like to say that it tugged on the feel strings to see it delapitated and vandalized but I really don't have strong memories of the buildings, just skiing in the forest there with my family, so I think the curious longing would be the same of any urban exploration.

Also located the leek spring lookout that I've always wanted to see. I'll have to come back next spring with a jeep! Wrapping up the day at Bones Roadhouse, and a cigar back at the cabin. Over 200 mile of overland exploration, not a bad weekend at all.

Looks like a great time. Glad you guys got out and had some fun in 4wd, beats a day in the office anytime!
